Popular Bollywood actor, Dilip Kumar, died on Wednesday in Mumbai at the age of 98.
It was gathered that the actor was admitted to the hospital on June 30 after he complained of breathlessness.
Kumar before his death on Wednesday had been frequently ill for months.
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, while reacting to his death on Twitter wrote, “Dilip Kumar Ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend. He was blessed with unparalleled brilliance, due to which audiences across generations were enthralled.”
“His passing away is a loss to our cultural world. Condolences to his family, friends and innumerable admirers. RIP.”
Kumar was born to the family of Mohammed Yusuf Khan on December 11, 1922, in Peshawar, Pakistan, then part of British-ruled India.
In another development, award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido, has broken silence on the death of his manager, Habeeb Uthman, AKA Obama DMW.
Naija News had earlier reported that Obama DMW died of suspected heart failure on Tuesday after he complained of severe pains.
It was gathered that he drove himself to the hospital for a medical check-up and gave up the ghost during the tests.
