Nigerians need no soothsayer to tell them that the All Progressives Congress, APC has finally berthed into the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC.
By the appointment of H.E Mai Mala Buni Governor of Yobe state as Chairman, APC is practically in the hands of the core CPC now.
One would wonder what’s the fate of Jagaban the strong man of Lagos politics now that the lingering political chess game in APC is gradually wearing its proper face.
What is going to happen to the lion of Edo politics, the all powerful former labour leader and former governor of the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
A glance at the highlights of the emergency held by critical stakeholders of the party, the roadmap is loud and clear.
MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JUST CONCLUDED e-NEC MEETING
Caretaker Committee named; will also serve as Convention Planning Committee. Governor of Yobe, Mai Mala Buni is Chairman of the Committees. Other members include Governors of Niger and Osun.
NEC ratifies all decisions taken in respect of Edo Guber Primaries, i.e. Ize-Iyamu stands as the party’s Governorship Candidate.
NEC has resolved the following:
1. The withdrawal of all cases in Court.
2. The dissolution of NWC
3. The establishment of Caretaker/Convention Committee
4. The ratification of the Gubernatorial Primaries in Edo State.
The party will wear a total new look once the committees complete their assignments with a script well crafted to follow to the core.
Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Adams Oshiomhole may not necessarily have any specific roles to play again.
Tinubu that held the title of national leader of the party now has no troops to control as he is now a commander without a troop.
Oshiomhole who became a gadfly after becoming APC chairman has been shown the way out of the party by his former god son Godwin Obaseki.
If he had listen to the voice of reason to consider Obaseki for a second term ticket maybe the party leadership which he thought he was part of would have re-considered his application as a cabinet member.
With this new development in APC the roadmap towards 2023 has begun and new big players will emerge.
Victor Giadom has completed phase one of the project he started.
He had the backing of the true leaders and he has delivered as promised and may just be hanging around the corner to handle a bigger project ahead.
The Rivers man held to his guns all through stamping his authority when necessary.
One really got scared on Wednesday night when he said Tinubu is not qualified to be part of today’s meeting.
True to his words, the national leader was visibly missing at the e-NEC that was attended by President Muhamnadu Buhari.
Watch out for Giadom as he is still needed to do more hatchet jobs as the APC wears a new look.
