SDP candidate Segun Oni has withdrawn from Ekiti Decides 2022 (Ekiti Gubernatorial Election 2022).

 

Newsonline reports that the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Engr. Segun Oni has withdrawn from today’s governorship election in Ekiti State.

This online news platform understands that Segun Oni announced his withdrawal through a statement he personally signed and released a few hours before the commencement of the governorship election which is slated later today, Saturday, June 18, 2022.

Oni, a former Governor of Ekiti State, said he was withdrawing from the Ekiti election 2022 race due to the ongoing legal and leadership battle rocking the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

 

In his withdrawal statement, the SDP candidate directed his supporters to vote for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bisi Kolawole in today’s Ekiti governorship election.
