A 50-year-old kidnap kingpin recently arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force in Katsina State has said he saw nothing wrong with banditry and kidnapping until he was arrested by security operatives.

Naija News understands that the State Police Command on Wednesday, September 29, arraigned the suspect, Surajo Mamman, better known as Kutaku.

Confessing his crimes at the force headquarters during the parade, Kutaku said he has lost count of people he killed and kidnapped.

The suspect had also told the police that he is the second in command to Sani Muhidinge, a wanted notorious bandit on government watchlist hibernating in Rugu forest, between Katsina and Zamfara States.

Naija News reports that the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP. Isah Gambo paraded the notorious kidnapper alongside other criminals on Wednesday.

In his confession, Kutaku said: “I have been involved in kidnapping and other banditry related crimes for a very long time now. I cannot remember the exact number of people I have killed or kidnapped but they are many.

“Actually, I didn’t really see anything wrong with my involvement in the act until I was arrested. But my eyes are opened now.”
