Candice Loren Crawford was born on the 16th of December 1986, in Lubbock, Texas, United States. Born and raised in Texas, Candice had a relatively comfortable childhood as her father, Chris, was a dermatologist and her mother, Dana, worked as a teacher. Candice spent most of her early life with her brother, Chase, who works as an actor and is best known for his role as Nate Archibald in the CW series, Gossip Girl. When she was just three years of age, Candice moved to Bloomington, Minnesota, as her father strived to complete his studies. Following a 4-year period, Candice moved back to Dallas and graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in Dallas in 2005. After graduating high school, Candice enrolled at the University of Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2009.
Modeling and Early Success:
Even though Candice has found success in her career as a journalist, she first began her career as a model and signed up for Miss Missouri in 2007. However, Candice missed out on the first position and was runner-up to the crown. Despite her desire to put things to an end, Candice was motivated by her parents and brother to go for the title again. In 2008, Candice entered the competition and bagged the winning crown. Despite her busy schedule and her work as a personal trainer at the recreational center at the University of Missouri, Candice went on to participate in Miss Teen USA but returned empty-handed. While still in Missouri, Candice started working as a reporter and as a sportscaster for four years at KOMU-TV. She later switched to the Dallas Cowboys football club and started working as an anchor and sports reporter. Candice Crawford is happily married to her husband of 10-years, Tony Romo. The pair first met in 2009, when Candice was working with the Dallas Cowboys.
