Some angry youths in Anambra state has burnt Nnamdi Azikiwes Statues the pioneer President of Nigeria, the late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, at Denis Memorial Grammar School Roundabout, Awka Avenue, Onitsha.

It was learnt that the mob were angered by the crisis bedevilling the nation, saying he cause the problems thr country is facing today.As they burnt the statue, the mob were shouting

 “You put us in this mess by championing one Nigeria,” “You are the cause of our trouble,” amongst other uncomplimentary remarks.

Hoodlums have hijacked the #EndSARS protests across various states, causing so many destruction ,looting various stores and sending many entrepreneurs out of business.

Meanwhile, residents of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital yesterday, stormed the warehouses where the government stored COVID-19 palliatives expected to be distributed to citizens.

The warehouses, located at the cargo warehouse of the International airport in Ilorin as well as the agro-mall located in the Sango area of the state were totally ransacked as residents struggled to pack as much food items as they could.

Breaking into warehouses and looting the items stored there is recently fast becoming a trend in Nigeria as similar incidents have been recorded in Lagos and Osun States.

Consequently, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State declared a 24 hour Curfew on the state from midnight today, Saturday.

Governor Abdulrazaq made this known in a statewide broadcast on Midland 99.1 FM.

Abdulrazaq said, “Lives are being threatened. Businesses are being looted. Public properties have been targeted. This is unacceptable. It is not who we are.
