#ENDSARS protesters demanding the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police have besieged the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The protesters insisted they won’t leave until Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu shows up to address them.
The protesters shouted down the senior police officer, who came out to address them with cries of “We want to see the IG”.
SARS have become notorious for extra-judicial killings, extortion and kidnapping.
Youths across the country have taken to streets for the past four days in a solidarity protest to call for the scrapping of FSARS.
Many celebrities have joined the call and protest for the end of SARS, with players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria also lending their voices.
Arsenal legendary striker Ian Wright and popular television broadcaster, Piers Morgan have also called for the disbandment of the police unit.
