Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has stated that Igbo people will cast their vote for Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the Ondo governorship election.
The 2020 Ondo governorship election will hold this Saturday, October 10, 2020.
The former Abia State Governor, in a statement on Thursday, claimed that other residents of the state will vote for Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Orji Uzor Kalu, the developmental strides of the Akeredolu’s administration will guaranty victory for the APC.
“The people of Ondo State will no doubt re-validate the mandate of the governor because of his developmental strides,’’ Kalu said.
The Senate Chief Whip who said the incumbent governor had made life meaningful for the people regardless of tribe, religion and political differences, describe the APC candidate as “a grassroots mobiliser, astute professional and consummate politician”.
While calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the media, security agencies, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to ensure a credible election, Kalu said the APC would not derail from its probity, transparency, accountability and good governance.
