Thieves Attack Adamawa Deputy Governor’s Office, Cart Away Gadgets

Thieves reportedly attacked the office complex of Adamawa State deputy governor, Crowther Seth, and stole some valuable items and gadgets.

According to the report monitored by Naija News on Sahara Reporters, this is the fourth time in two months the office of the deputy governor is been burgled by yet to be identified individual (s).

It was reported that three television sets, one window-sized air conditioner among other valuables were carted away from the office.

According to Audu Kirya, a senior administrative officer in the office who confirmed the incident to newsmen on Friday, September 25, the reoccurrence of the burglary is as a result of poor security measures. He said, “The office had recorded four different burglaries in two months.”

“Three television sets, one window-sized air conditioner, among valuables carted by the thieves.”

On his part, while reacting to the frequent theft, Chief Press Secretary to the deputy governor, George Kushi, described the event as regrettable. Kushi lamented on the burgling, wondering how an important office like that of the deputy governor could be so frequently burgled.

He said, “That means even top government confidential documents were not safe.”

Also speaking, Chief Security Officer to the deputy governor, Usman Daura, confirmed that members of a vigilante group have been drafted to augment the services of the police. He said, “Among the measures include the deployment of trained vigilante group to man the office on a daily basis and to cover where police could not cover.

”Also, the security unit of the office had invited police detectives from Jimeta Division to investigate the incidences.”

Meanwhile, suspected bandits have abducted Alhaji Salisu Ali Sukuntuni, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rimaye town under Kankia LGA of Katsina State, Naija News reports.
